Trent University’s varsity athletics program represents competitive excellence, school pride, and a strong sense of community — yet historically, the university has not been widely recognized for its athletics.
We partnered with Trent to elevate and amplify the program’s profile, developing a comprehensive athletics brand platform designed to build recognition and momentum. This included a refined visual identity, a unifying brand anthem, editorial design direction, environmental graphics, and dynamic social animations. The result is a cohesive, high-impact system that strengthens visibility, galvanizes school spirit, and positions Trent Athletics as a defining part of the university experience.
The program’s design system was built around a unifying brand anthem: We Are One Excalibur — a rallying cry that reinforced collective strength across teams, athletes, and fans. At its core, we developed a distinctive “1EX” graphic reserved exclusively for varsity athletes, creating a powerful internal badge of pride. From fan engagement to locker-room culture, the identity has elevated visibility, and reshaped the perception of athletics at Trent University.
